Obviously, nothing will beat my mom’s home cooking for me but Albasa’s ogbono soup mix is a very close 2nd! It smelled fantastic as soon as I opened the bag, it was a simple recipe to follow and I’m very impressed with the draw of the soup. It still tasted great despite the fact that I didn’t follow the recipe precisely (couldn’t find palm oil). I’ll definitely been ordering more!

Cook up a delicious hearty homemade soup with our authentic Ogbono soup mix. Simply add water, oil, and any meat of your choice. 

Ingredients

2lbs stew beef
1lb smoked fish
½ tsp salt
1 cube Knorr chicken bouillon
½ -¾ cup palm oil
5 cups water
1 package Albasa Ogbono Soup Mix

Instruction

  1. Add beef, salt, bouillon, and 1 cups of water to a medium pot. 
  2. Cook on medium heat till water is almost dried.
  3. Remove meat and set aside.
  4. Add remaining water and oil and bring to a boil.
  5. Quickly stir in Ogbono mix and meat.
  6. Cook uncovered on medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Add smoked fish and cook for two minutes.
